BATISTEADO - Method

BATISTEADO - Method "B" Auto-Mixing

BATISTEADO is the innovative process developed by INICIATIVAS BATISOLID, S.L. to produce BATISTEN, a material made with BATISOLID CMB42 —European patent application EP20382761.3— for the eco-sustainable development of road infrastructures and platforms. These methods aim to maximize the strength and durability of these infrastructures while simultaneously reducing the environmental impact of each project.

Within this process, Method "B" Auto-Mixing is a technique that uses auto-mixers to efficiently and sustainably mix the BATISOLID CMB42 additive and, subsequently, the water at the construction site to create BATISTEN infrastructures.

Auto-mixers allow for precise and homogeneous integration of the additive with local materials and water, generating a highly resistant and durable mixture. This process reduces the need to transport large quantities of material from other locations.

This method is particularly effective in projects requiring a robust road infrastructure with low environmental impact. Method "B" Auto-Mixing significantly lowers each project's carbon footprint, aligning with the eco-sustainability principles that characterize BATISOLID by reducing reliance on external materials and minimising transportation.

Moreover, Method "B" offers flexibility and adaptability across various types of terrain, providing an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative for constructing sustainable roads. It allows for the creation of pavements resistant to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, achieving a BATISTEN with at least the load-bearing capacity required of standard concrete.

Let's look at some brief and summarized details of its execution based on standard regulations applicable to an H15:

1. Materials

  • Recycled materials from the site:
    • Option 1: Natural soil from where the BATISTEN pavement will be constructed. For example, Soil will be removed from the site where the pavement will be made.
    • Option 2: Recycled soil from the location where the BATISTEN pavement will be constructed. For example, Crushed debris from the deteriorated or to-be-renewed pavement.
  • MIX BATISOLID CMB42
  • Optional: Natural reinforcement fibres are made from plant fibres if the technical project considers it.

These are the main aspects of the AUTO-MIXING BATISTEADO process, which involves high-resistance ecological stabilization through mixing in an auto-mixer for pavements resistant to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

This process should be complemented by the detailed technical specifications of each project and best construction practices.
